A very good natured crew spent a couple of days packing up everything bar the essentials in our house in London. They were laughing and joking the whole time whilst also getting on with the not inconsiderable job. They came the next day, on what was the hottest day in Britain for XX years, and packed the enormous truck again very efficiently and with good humour. They were very friendly, respectful and happy to help kind of guys.
The house in Edinburgh was about half the size with a smaller door and hall and yet they managed to get it all in including a piano that I had had my doubts about.
This company was recommended to me by a workmate and I also did a forensic comparison between about 10 removal companies. They had the best combination of price, service and schedule. Another company was in the running until I noticed they would pack and load on day 1 , overnight drive up to Edinburgh then unload the next day which would have been an impossible schedule for us. Coles on the other hand took a couple of days to pack and allowed us a day to get up there before they delivered.
In the run up to the job I had loads of questions and Danny Jeakins very patiently re-assured me that all would be well.

J.A Coles team has moved my entire house from the UK to The Netherlands. We have received the perfect service at very competitive price.
Daniela has accommodated all my weird requests, assured me of possibility of all scenarios unimaginable and all my requests were fulfilled.
John arrived at my house a day earlier than scheduled to prepare and packed the majority of items very carefully and in an organised manner. This helped to reduce any pressure and John has made us feel assured. He stayed on site and managed the whole operation, it was smooth, quick and efficient.
The "boys" Sylvester and Conrad were amazing! Only a superhero can do what they have achieved! They not only carried and lifted heavy furniture but also packed and placed everything in order.

Jon, Daniela and their teams are fantastic through and through. Having moved all over the world in the past 20 years and had my things broken, lost or been charged for services I didn't receive. J.A.Coles are not only a lovely set of people, but they also handled my possessions with dignity, to the highest of professional standards. They also have personality in abundance and made my experience almost stress free (a big thing when in transit between countries).

My move from London to New York was very smooth.
So I would highly recommend J.A.Coles as a very experienced and helpful company with competitive prices. Office staff-expecially Ms Daniela and other co-workers are very polite and organized. They provide door to door service including all the process: packing, wrapping of furniture, container loading, shipping, export documentation, customs and delivery at destination. All the goods are packed carefully with special paper, bubble blankets or double-thickness cartons by professionals- Tom and others. Excellent job !

Our move to the South of France could not have gone better. Firstly Geoff portrayed the quality of the company's services very accurately and Daniela very efficiently and kindly organized the scheduling and preparation of the move. On the day of the move, Karl led a team that treated our belongings as if they owned them. They were punctual, friendly and efficient. Finally, to top up a great experience, Darren and Karl delivered the move with a dedication beyond the call of duty (special thanks to these great gentlemen).

We looked at many companies for our removal from London to Lyon and thankfully chose J A Coles.
The quote given was fair with no hidden charges. Daniela was our contact and helped us throughout the process. She was proactive, helpful and was always available to answer questions and keep us up to date on the status of the move.

Our belongings were picked up at the time stated on the invoice and several paintings carefully wrapped and protected as promised.

The moving teams on both ends were professional and worked efficiently. A special mention to Darren on the French side who went out of his way to make sure everything was placed where we wanted it.

We highly recommend J A Coles for a removal and would contact them again should we need to do so.
